Nov 2, 2010 Program
How about a tour of the best fly fishing places in the United
States? Would you like to make the tour in one night? You can! Join
Billings resident Jack Ballard and the Magic City Fly Fishers on
Tuesday, November 2nd at 7:00 p.m. for "Fly Fishing: An American
Portfolio," a photo essay of the best places Jack Ballard has fished
in the past couple of years, from Adirondack Park in upstate New
York, to southern Colorado, the Midwest, and of course, the Northern
Rockies. Plus, you have a chance to win prizes in Jack’s new trivia
contest. You will have a chance to identify specific bodies of water
as you proceed through Jack’s presentation. You receive points for
identifying the state, body of water, and the species of fish. Those
with the top scores win prizes. Sounds like fun to me.
Just so you are familiar with Jack (who also presented a couple
of years ago), you should know he is one the most prolific outdoor
writers in the nation. Over 40 outdoor magazines have published
Jack’s photos and articles. Some of these include Petersen’s Hunting
and Successful Hunter magazines, a column for Montana Sporting
Journal and Camping Life. Check out one of his articles here:

He is the author of two books: "Elk Hunting Montana" and
"Creating a Traditional Elk Camp," both endorsed by the Rocky
Mountain Elk Foundation. Jack’s writing and photography have won
numerous awards from the Outdoor Writers Association of America.
Programs Now Available On Line
In the
past, we often received requests for copies of our program
presentation slides. No more do we have to copy and email these
presentations. Our program power point presentations are now
available on an online storage site. Programs will be uploaded and
available for download as soon as possible following the meeting.
File sizes can be large, so it may take a few minutes to download,
depending on your connection. Please remember to sign off as soon as
you’re done, since it will only allow one person on at a time. We
hope you enjoy and take advantage of this feature. Lot onto:
