EXPO YOUTH ACTIVITIES

 

Our Club’s annual Fly Fishing Exposition is slated for Saturday, February 21st. We are planning special activities for developing interest and skills related to fly fishing with our young people, boys and girls alike. Beginning at 9:00am, we will hold a youth fly fishing workshop starting with a power point program on the sport of fly fishing followed by hands-on instruction in fly tying and casting a fly rod. We will also display some of the equipment that is used in fly fishing. All of the equipment and materials will be supplied, just bring an enthusiasm for learning about the super sport of fly fishing.

In the afternoon beginning at 1:00pm we will have our ever popular fly tying contest. The kids will have an opportunity to apply their fly tying skills and submit their two best flies into a contest. There will be some really neat prizes for the first four places in each age group. Again, all the tools and tying materials will be furnished by the club. Come prepared to have some fun and maybe take home a nice prize. Best of all, both of these events are free!
